Focus group interview on my final product! As you can see I have recieved feedback from my focus group. My magazine has been incredibly succesful and most of my comments are positive rather negative. From these videos, It became clear that this individual thought my magazine portrayed a modern take on Rock classic magazine that feature lots of fantastic elements.
She stated that the aspect that appealed the most to her are the pictures, with the colour schemes and other features in the magazine. She was also attracted by the well structured appearance of my music magazine. I feel that by gathering feedback from a person in my focus group, has enabled me to gather information from a womans prespective; this is important because my magazine is targeted at both genders, and so therefore I had to include an opinion from a woman candidate.
Analysis of my music magazine
I feel that my magazine is aimed at both genders. My magazine features more pictures of girls than boys because in my opinion I think that boys/men are dominantly featured the most in rock and classic magazines. So by me featuring a girl on my front cover and on my double page speard will have a postive effect on women/girls. The girl featured on my magazine poses very natural and so they wouldn't appear fake to anyone especially to the male audience. This suggests that by using these images, males will not be put off by reading my magazine. My colour scheme is fairley feminine , however when deciding on my colour scheme, I felt they were attractive and worked the best out of all the other colours I experimented. My music magazine was designed to look new, fresh and modern to relate to my audience.
Looking back to my first drafts, I can identify how my magazine has become more appealing. I feel that I have learnt alot throughout this process especially with the use of technology. My product now looks much more of a better quality, appealing and proffesional. Having more knowelege of tools, media, research, planning, I was able to produce a high standard music magazine that I hoped for. I am pleased with the way my music magazine looks and my progess.
